A.M. Best affirms A (Excellent) ratings for National Life Insurance Company and LSW
In this volatile and uncertain marketplace, there is good news for LSW. A.M. Best Co. has just reaffirmed the financial strength rating (FSR) of A (Excellent) and issuer credit ratings (ICR) of “a” for Life Insurance Company of the Southwest and National Life Insurance Company.
As stated in the official press release:
“Despite a challenging environment, National Life continues to deliver business growth. Through third quarter 2008, life an annuity sales are up 22.5% and 33.3%, respectively, driven by strong growth from indexed products.”
“The ratings reflect National Life’s positive growth trends in its core life and annuity lines, solid operating performance and diverse distribution channels. The company also benefits from its competitive positions in the indexed universal life (UL) insurance and 403(b) indexed annuity markets, as well as a conservative risk profile and good expense management.”
