403(b) and 457(b) Certification Schools National Life Group/LSW is hosting several 403(b) and 457(b) Certified Schools for our agents in 2011. Last year, more than 1,000 agents attended our schools. This is a mandatory training session for all agents who are working in our school districts’ 403(b) or 457(b) slots. The cost to attend is $75. To be eligible to attend one of our “Certification Schools,” you must have produced annuity sales with the company in 2010. Also, the company will be sponsoring “Advanced 403(b) and 457(b) Certified Schools” in May and June (in conjunction with your Regional Sales Vice President). Each year the company is requiring a re-certification of all its agents who work in the 403(b) and 457(b) market. The Advanced Schools will provide you an update of the marketplace and new changes to Teacher Retirement System plans and meet this certification requirement. We will soon announce the dates and places for the “Advanced 403(b) and 457(b) Certification Schools."
